Terry Fator, 2007 winner of America’s Got Talent and headliner at the Mirage in Las Vegas, guests on CYACYL Sunday, September 19. Terry is an international celebrity who has performed on Oprah, Ellen, Regis & Kelly, Letterman, Huckabee, and the CBS Morning Show. Simon Cowell has called Terry, “One of the best entertainers in the world.”

 Terry and his eclectic puppets perform singing styles of major stars including: The Beatles, The Bee Gees, The Pussycat Dolls, Guns N’ Roses, Aaron Neville, Elvis, Etta James, James Blunt, Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn, Gnarls Barkley, Rod Stewart, Sonny and Cher. Terry recently celebrated his first anniversary at The Mirage by introducing a new puppet – Wrex, a crash car dummy.

Terry is actively involved in a number of charities and will perform on the Jerry Lewis Telethon this Labor Day weekend. He works tirelessly for veterans causes and acknowledges our men and women in uniform in his show every night. His personal proceeds from his merchandise store at the Mirage go to military organizations – including snowball express and twilight brigade.

This Veterans Day, Terry will participate in the opening of the first ever USO facility at McCarren airport in Las Vegas. He and VIP’s will welcome 100 wounded warriors, from NY and DC who will be flown in that morning on an American Airlines 767 “Flagship Independence.” The plane has a yellow ribbon painted on its tail. These warriors will be the first official guests to enter the USO facility. Terry will perform “The National Anthem” at the opening and he will headline  a special concert for the warriors, Nellis air force officers, others in the military and the general public . All proceeds will benefit the USO.

NFL PLAYERS SHARE INSPIRING STORIES ON CYACYL

The war is on again. The soldiers are in training waiting for the start of another season in the battle for the Superbowl. Football players are modern warriors determined to win at any cost. However, for some NFL players, playing professional football is not the beginning and end of everything.

 Starting in the month of August and continuing throughout football season, Change Your Attitude…Change Your Life is teaming up with the Insightful Player program to present incredible stories of inspiration and hope.  Past and present NFL players, who have the desire to give back, share their life stories of self-perseverance, faith, and determination.

 According to the show’s producer and creator, Joan Herrmann, “These amazing stories are dramatic testimonials of how people can overcome great obstacles with hard work and a belief in oneself.”

 “People often think of football players as big, tough guys who are all about winning,” said Herrmann. “Having had the opportunity to work with these men, I can say that they are all tough winners in every way that counts. They are gentle spirits with hearts of gold.”

 Host Pawel Szurek added, “The players that take part in the Insightful Player program have endured life’s tragedies such as drug and alcohol addiction, gang involvement, reckless personal behavior, divorce, suicidal thoughts, poverty, life-threatening illness, physical limitations, and low self-esteem. They are using their celebrity status to raise awareness and to give hope to children and adults that anything can be overcome with faith and hard work.”

 The series kicks off Sunday, August 15, with Superbowl champion, New Orleans Saints player, Billy Miller, who overcame the temptations and pitfalls of fame to turn his life around. Other NFL players will be featured throughout the football season.
